Ahangama Beach

Ahangama is a small town in the Southern coast of Sri Lanka.well-known famous tourist destination and peaceful as the world knows. This unique town made famous by the traditional way of Stilt fishing method.

Location

Ahangama is nearby  Welgama town which is well-Known surfing point in Sri Lanka. The water has no broad reef protection unlike Unawatuna, so outside of the Dec-March period, there will probably only be a small reef-protected zone where swimming is possible. The beach is wide and decent though, which makes it in this respect better than Unawatuna. Local attractions include exquisite lace-making and ancient temples which you can explore without heading too far away
